AI Theme Park Navigation

Idea #001 - Issue #001

Idea:

Okay, so the idea kinda hit me and the wife during all those Orlando trips we've taken over the last few years, plus our honeymoon at Cedar Point. I just kept seeing her get so stressed out trying to figure out the daily plan – like, when to hit the parks, where to grab dinner, when to just chill by the pool, you know? So, I was thinking I could totally make this easier for folks. And yeah, I know I could just help with the planning myself... but you don't get it, she'd be all like, "Cool, but I'm gonna redo the whole thing anyway."

So, the basic idea is pretty straightforward: build an app that helps you move through any theme park super quick and easy, based on where you are right now in the park and what the wait times are looking like. It'd also show event times and where you can grab some grub.

I was even kicking around the idea of making it a bit of a game – maybe with leaderboards for people who submit wait times and stuff like that; which will help with machine learning to navigate you on where to go to next.

Technology:

For tech, I'm thinking of starting with Ionic and Capacitor. Seems like that'll let me build and get it running on different platforms pretty fast, I hope. I'll probably just launch on the Android Google Play Store to start and see how it goes from there.

Next up, I gotta nail down:

  • What to call the app

  • Some cool colors

  • How it's all gonna look and how you move around in it

  • Just getting the whole thing organized
