Travel Itinerary/Planning
Idea #002 - Issue #001
Le Idea:
Okay, so the idea here is to build something that lets you plan out your trips, right? You punch in your dates and where you're headed, and boom – it spits out a list of stuff to do, even if you haven't given it much to go on. Of course, you can tweak it, move things around, and even share your plans with other people who are checking out the same area, either now or maybe they went before you.
And get this – as you actually do stuff on your itinerary, the whole plan will kind of adjust itself. Like, if you skip something or do things in a different order, the app will be smart enough to figure out if the rest of the plan still makes sense.
Each thing on the itinerary would have the location and how far away it is. I was also thinking it'd be cool to be able to fire up an Uber or Lyft right from the app with the pickup spot already set if you need a ride. And hey, if we're going all-in-one, maybe even hook into hotel APIs so you could book your stay without leaving the app? Just trying to make it as seamless as possible, you know?
Now, for those shared itineraries, this is where it gets interesting. I'm thinking they should show you the best times or even a percentage chance of actually completing the plan based on the dates and times you put in. That way, someone isn't trying to follow a plan from the summer if they're going in the dead of winter – totally different vibe, different experience. Gotta make sure it's still relevant and useful.
Das Technology:
For tech, I'm thinking using Ionic and Capacitor, like the last project - or maybe ill decide to use Flutter. Either way it will allow me to get it up and running on different platforms pretty fast. I'll probably just launch on Web this time, as well as the Android Google Play Store to start and see how it goes from there.
Next up, I gotta look into:
What to call the app
Some colors and a logo
How it's all gonna look and feel?
Put together a public roadmap?
